Match play. Yellow trails 5-6 (Crawford) to 7. How should Yellow play 43?

Yellow needs to win a gammon and he also has to create time to escape his rear checker. Both of these objectives lead us to 5/2, 5/1*. There is risk but also very high reward.

6/3, 6/2 is safe but still a small error. If Yellow led 6-5 (Crawford) the safe play would be correct.
