Technically this is just a double because of the gammon threat. All aces, sevens, eights, nines and tens are good for Red. That is enough to make this a double. The take is very easy for White, having a solid position including an anchor.
I think most people would wait here but the modern trend is double much earlier than we used to do and this position is a good demonstration of that idea.
