Match Play. Red leads 5-4 to 9. How should Red play 32?


This is the follow-up to Position 56.

 

It is easy to overthink this and hit the checker on Red’s 10-pt and dream of gammons. Meanwhile back in the real world a point is a point and any play other than 4/1, 3/1 is a blunder. 6/4, 6/3 is the second-best play but that is still a blunder.
