Unlimited games. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?
This is a volatile position so doubling should be considered, mainly because if things go well Red can win a gammon. In fact, 40% of his wins are gammons.
White has a trivial take because his only weakness is the blot on Red’s 5-pt. All his other checkers are well placed.
The rollout says that you can double or not double and you will be making the right decision. The take is trivial. I think few would drop this and I would probably wait a roll to give my opponent a more difficult decision but I wouldn’t criticise anybody for doubling now.
