Match Play Red trails 5-6 to 7 (Crawford). How should Red play 61?
If you have read Bob Wachtel’s “In the Game until the End” you will know that for money there is little difference between 3/off, 3/2 and 3/off, 2/1*
However, this is the Crawford Game with Red 2-away and now 3/off, 3/2 is a triple blunder. Hitting gives White four fanning numbers which could well cost him a gammon.
Luckily, those who commented got this one correct.
