Unlimited Games. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?
The formulas don’t quite get this one right because they don’t recognise the weakness of the gap on Red’s 3-pt. That gap is just enough to enable White to take Red’s very obvious double.
Even with that gap this only just a take but it reminds us that we cannot always judge bear-offs purely by using formulae. Common sense must also play its part.
