Match Play. Red trails 0-1 to 9. How should Red play 43?

8/5* is clear. The question is then whether to hit one or two White checkers.

It turns that 8/5*/1* is an overplay. Great when it works but leaving a poor position when it doesn’t, especially with a stripped 8-pt.

The question which is the way to play the four. It truns out that 24/20, 13/9 and 10/6 have virtually identical equities so you can take your choice out of those three moves. The all-out attacking play 13/9, 8/5* wins the rollout by a narrow margin.
