Match Play. Red trails 4-5 to 11. Should Red redouble? If redoubled, should White take?


At a level score or for money this is no redouble (just) and a trivial take.

 

The fact that Red is trailing turns this into redouble/take. I got this wrong against Julian Fetterlein in an online league match and held on to the cube. I underestimated my market-losing sequences.

 

 I rolled 52 and moved 14/7. Julian then missed and I won with the cube. Happy to have won two points but sad not to have won four points!
