Match Play. 4-4 to 7. How should Red play 21?

With twelve White checkers in the zone, it might seem sensible for Red to make the 22-pt with 24/22. However, White may well have some blots lying around next turn so Red does slightly better to leave back checkers split.

XG rates 8/5 as best but the provocative 24/23, 22/20 is second although the plays are close and none of them are errors.

This is the final “Position of the Day”. Please see separate posting for future plans for the website.
