Match Play. White leads 4-0 to 11. How should Red play 43?

I see this misplayed so often I thought I should post it as a problem.

Correct is to make White’s golden point with 24/20, 23/20. Hitting is very nearly a blunder.

Once your opponent has built a new point in the opening it is often to correct to make an advanced anchor. Here Red gets the best possible anchor and can play with freedom thereafter. Hitting, on the other hand, achieves very little with Red’s toothless board.
