Match Play. Red trails 5-6 to 11. Should Red redouble? If redoubled, should White take?
For money this is borderline no redouble but at this score not redoubling is nearly a double blunder. It is a very clear, but uncomfortable take.
Just look at the beautiful diversification of Red’s numbers. One, fours and sixes to cover, twos and fives to move a rear checker. If you move the checker on Red’s 8-pt to his bar-point this is only just a redouble because of Red’s poor sixes. Amazing how much difference one pip can make.
