Match Play. Red leads 8-5 to 11. How should Red play 11?

After bar/24, 14/13*, 4/3* the question is whether to lift the blot.

The answer is to lift. Red’s checkers are close to home, and he does not need the luxury of making his 3-pt.

Slotting the 3-pt wins more gammons but it also loses a much higher percentage of gammons.

Given that winning a single game will get Red to Crawford with White on an odd number it is not worth the risk of slotting the 3-pt. That is a big error but not quite a blunder.
