White’s position is terrible. He doesn’t have the timing for the back game that he has, and he has very little prospect of correcting that timing. Meanwhile Blue has a beautiful four-point prime ,which includes the rack, and many ways to improve his position.
For money this would be a massive drop. At this match score (and most other scores) Blue is too good to double. He should play on for the gammon at least for the time being, until he sees how the position develops. He can nearly always cash a single point later.
