Match Play. Red leads 4-0 to 5 (Crawford). How should Red play 42?

If the score was 4-1 then 22/16*would be a catastrophic error. However, at 4-0 losing a gammon is irrelevant to Red and so he should hit 22/16*.

The second-best play, and not an error, is 8/4, 6/4, which is likely to build a stronger home board more quickly than 11/5.
