Match Play. Red leads 5-3 to 11. How should Red play 52?

When I had this position, I just couldn’t bring myself to play 23/16 despite thinking it was probably correct. but all other plays just put off the evil day.

Red must run while he still has the stronger board and hope to survive White’s forthcoming attack. Yes, he will lose a lot of gammons but 23/16 gives him good chances to win. When White hits loose and Red hits back it could Red winning the gammon.

All the waiting plays are blunders. 23/16 it must be.
