Match Play. 0-0 to 11. How should Red play 53?

If this was a money game the play wouldn’t matter because you are dropping White’s double irrespective of your play as Red.

Whatever move you make White will be too good and playing on for an undoubled gammon. You need to choose the move that loses the fewest gammons.

The best move is bar/17 which wins slightly more games and only loses 47% gammons!
