Match Play. 0-0 to 5. How should Red play 31?
Red does not yet need to commit to a back game with24/23, 24/21. That is too committal when he only trails by 17 pips after the roll. There are many different possible game plans.
Meanwhile he can and should make his 5-pt with 8/5, 6/5. He can still win the game by going forward and that should be his chosen game plan, at least for the moment. Any other move is a double blunder or worse.
For me the 5 point is more valuable. if white takes on the next roll, Red will likely make an anchor whether taken or not. My first post too and quite a beginner.
