Match Play. 0-0 to 9. How should Red play 11?


This is basically prime versus prime and while making the bar point is superficially attractive Red’s priority is escape. The simple bar/22, 24/23 is best, diversifying the rear checkers.

 

Bar/23, 24/23, 6/5 and bar23, 8/7(2) are tied for second place but they are still significant errors.
