Unlimited Games. How should Red play 43?
I found this one very difficult. I played 20/13 and got pinged by XG.
The question is does Red want to pick up another blot? Apparently, the answer is yes because nearly all the main contenders win about 54% of the time but 12/5 adds another 4% gammon wins. I would not have thought initially that the reward outweighs the risk but that seems to be the case.
Note 13/9, 12/9 is completely the wrong idea because it makes a point you don’t want.
This problem is a question of balance, and I definitely went wrong. All plays other than 12/5 are errors or blunders. Lesson learnt – hopefully!
