Match Play. 0-0 to 5. How should Red play 55?

A point is a point and so after bar/20, 8/3(2) should be two of the other threes. After that, Red wants contact because he is still behind in the race and doesn’t want to strip the midpoint. That makes the best fourth five 20/15.

Bar/5 doesn’t contest the outer boards and if White rolls an ace he can escape with a tempo. Bar/5 is a whisker away from being an outright blunder. The second-best play is bar/20, 13/3, 8/3 which is merely a mistake.
