Deceptively this position is no double/take. Doubling is only a small error, and it is still a great practical double because you will get some drops.
It is no double because Red is running out of time and his board could crash very soon (try double four, for example). White still has running, priming and blitzing options available to him so it is a trivial take.
If you move Red’s fourth checker from his 6-pt to his 9-pt the position becomes double/take. Backgammon is a game of fine margins.
