Unlimited Games. How should Red play 44?

With White having an anchor making the ace-point is the wrong idea. This puts two checkers out of play prematurely for very little return.

The right idea is to make the blocking 9-pt with 13/9(2). The other two fours can either be played 13/5 or 24/20, 13/9. There is nothing to choose between the two plays. Anything else is at least an error.
