Match Play. Red trails 4-6 to 7 (post-Crawford). How should Red play 32?

There is very little difference between the plays here and with two White checkers on the bar Red is a big favourite.

However, care must still be taken and in situations like this, joker avoidance should be a key element

Therefore, Red should play 20/17, 11/9*, avoiding 11, 22 and 55 by White. 12/9*/7 is the second best move but that is still an error. The important lesson here is about joker avoidance so bear it in mind for future situations of a similar nature.
