Unlimited Games. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?
The key point about this position is that most players would just roll the dice. Being on the bar against a four-and-a-half point board would put most people off doubling.
However, an ace for Red could put White into a lot of trouble and if he fans Red will win a lot of gammons. Even if Red fans White is a long way from a redouble. Using PRaT points us in the right direction. This is a huge double but also a comfortable take. Not doubling is a double blunder.
