Match Play Red trails 1-2 to 5. How should Red play 53?

For money, 13/8, 6/3 is very clear. Any other play is a blunder.

Once again, the score dictates the play. Now 13/8, 6/3 is a blunder. Red must play 13/8, 7/4* and go for the gammon and the match. The fifteen shots are well justified by the potential reward. Even if hit Red is still in the game.

At this score the cube is virtually dead for White. He will be too good or not good enough to redouble.
