Match Play. Red 3-3 to 7. How should Red play 21?

As you would expect all the plays are close and many would choose 6/5, 6/4 preparing to clear the 6-pt.

However, the old adage, “a point cleared is a point not to be feared” applies here and the best play by a small margin is 5/4, 5/3. This play leaves no bad numbers for the next roll.
