Match Play. Red trails 0-2 to 7. How should Red play 44?

This is not the time to run the back checkers. Red most follow the normal strategy against a lone back checker and attack it.

13/9, 10/2*, 6/2 looks a bit stiff and inflexible. Red should make his 4-pt and hit the checker on the 2-pt. 8/4 and 13/9 are tied virtually equal for the fourth 4 with 10/6 a little way behind.

8/4(3), 6/2* wins the rollout by a whisker.
