Money Play. How should Red play 61?
Clearly Red must hit with the ace, 10/9*.
With five blots already Red’s position could collapse at any moment. This is a position where a modicum of caution has to be employed. Any play other than 9/3 with the six is just too big. The extra checker on the 3-pt is not ideal but it is still active. Red will still have four blots and White will be the favourite but, if Red can survive the next couple of rolls, he should have a playable game.
