Match Play. Red leads 6-5 (Crawford). How should Red play 42?

This is not the time to put a checker out of play with 8/2.

Because he owns White’s bar-point Red should be able to easily recirculate any hit checker. Therefore, he should keep all his checkers in play by moving 17/11. Any move other than 17/11 is a blunder.

The moral of the story is to avoid killing checkers unnecessarily.

Not the best roll!? 6/2 17/15 – starting some inner board points with an unstack of the 6 point and giving some return shots if hit on the 15 point. I can’t see anything better here?!
