Match Play. Red trails 0-2 to 5. How should Red play 41?

Red needs to get to the edge of White’s prime with 24/23. After that he should not leave any loose checkers lying around and so he should play 10/6 with the 4. After that play White should not double.

After the alternative 8/3* Red is no longer at the edge of the prime and so White should double, although at this score Red will have a take. For money it would be a big drop.
