With the cube on 2 losing a gammon doesn’t matter to Red and so the goalkeeper on the 24-pt should stay where it is to maximise contact. The 22-pt must be maintained, of course.
9/6 is a little bit too passive which just leaves us with 10/9, 10/8 or 10/8, 9/8. The former generates more return shots and so that is the correct play although 10/8, 9/8 is only a tiny error.
