Match Play. Red leads 3-0 to 5. How should Red play 54?


When your opponent already has three points in your home board it is rarely correct to hit more of his checkers and therefore improve his timing. This position is no exception.


Red should simply play bar/21, 13/8. White has to play and he will shortly have to give up one of those three anchors or compromise his forward position.
