Match Play. Red trails 1-2 to 5. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?

Once again, a perfectly timed double at the match score that would be premature for money. A doubled gammon gives Red the match exactly so now is precisely the time to double.

White’s position is fundamentally sound and so he should take.

Not doubling is a double blunder while dropping is merely a single blunder.
