Money Play. How should Red play 44?

After 21/13* Red has the choice of 21/13 or 6/2(2) with the other two fours.

6/2(2) wins more gammons but not as many games. Also Red will still have two checkers somewhat stranded on White’s 4-pt after that play. 21/13(2)* will lead to some very rapid wins with the doubling cube and so that is the correct play. However, 21/13*, 6/2(2) is not classified as an error.

Never forget the power of the cube!
