Money Play. How should Red play 44?
Red could race around the board with 18/10(2) but the resulting position is not a thing of beauty.
The only play that is not a blunder is the one that obeys Falafel’s Law, namely 13/5(2). The long-term gains from that asset far outweigh any other play. Red won’t mind being hit on his mid-point and losing some time.
