Match Play. DMP. How should Red play 53?
When playing against a back game the key is to clear points and not try to maintain a block.
6/1, 4/1 and 9/1 would both be bad mistakes. The correct play is 7/4, 7/2 getting rid of the bar-point. Now all Red needs to do is clear his 9-pt. He can’t play sixes except 61 and 62 and he has plenty of spare fours and fives.
After 7/4, 7/2 Red will the game 70% of the time.
