Match Play. Red leads 1-0 to 7. How should Red play 43?

Red leads in the match and owns the cube. He has a solid advantage in this position and does not need to enter into a hitting battle when the home boards are equal. After the move he will be at least 25 pips ahead.

The best plan is to consolidate his position with 24/21, 15/11. The hitting plays all lose more gammons while winning about the same percentage of games.

In this case the risk is not worth the reward and for once, the passive play is correct.
