Match Play. 0-0 to 7. Should Red redouble to 8? If redoubled, should White take?

This is basically a 3-roll position where White has extra chances because he can be off in one or two rolls. That should just about get him to a 25% take-point.

At this score if White drops, he will be 0-4 behind and his match-winning chances will be 24% so the decision is close. For money this would be an easy take because of the recube potential which is non-existent at this score.

This is a take, but it is no bargain and a strong player pitted against a weaker player may elect to drop and play from 0-4 down.
