Match Play. Red leads 6-1 (Crawford) How should Red play 61?

21/14, with duplication of 2’s may look attractive, but is a bad blunder.

Red is behind in the race and so he should hold on to his anchor for maximum long-term equity. The correct play is 13/7, 6/5. Now all of White’s sixes except 61 and 66 leave shots and 63 leaves two blots. After 21/14 White can play 13/4* with 63 which is quite a difference.
