Money Play. How should Red play 54?

12/3 creates the horrific anti-joker of 33. It also doesn’t guarantee getting both checkers to safety next turn. It precludes being able to make the 6-pt next turn with 11 and 12. Finally. it may also duplicate Red’s sixes if White leaves a blot on Red’s 6-pt by entering there.

For all these reasons 12/8, 12/7 is the right play. 12/13 is a 1.5 blunder.
