Match Play. Double Match Point. How should Red play 42?

White’s position is just too strong for Red to give him his whole roll on his next turn. Bar/23, 9/5 is just too passive.

Red must risk the hit with bar/23, 6/2*. 25% of the time the plan will work very well and with two more White blots to aim at Red will be very happy.

The hitting play wins 3% more of the time than the passive play and at DMP the play is very clear.
