Match Play. Double Match Point. How should Red play 21?

For money there is virtually no difference between hitting two checkers or hitting one. The extra gammons balance the extra losses.

At DMP hitting one checker with bar/23/22* is clearly correct because it wins the most games which is all that Red is interested in. Hitting just the one checker means that White cannot make a second anchor and that reduces his winning chances.

At DMP hitting two checkers is an error (just).
