Match Play. Red leads 4-0 to 13. How should Red play 64?

For money 8/2*, 6/2 would be very clear, going for the gammon.

With a 4-0 lead and the cube on 2 things are a little different because White will be able to take a redouble much later than usual.

The correct tactic here is to play 24/14. If White fans Red will play for the gammon. If White anchors on the 2-pt then he will have a take (just) of Red’s redouble. If White enters but doesn’t anchor or hit, he must drop Red’s redouble.

24/14 reduces the volatility of the position from Red’s perspective which is exactly what he wants.
