Money Play. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?
The position is too volatile to leave the cube in the centre. Red must double now as otherwise he runs the danger of losing his market.
The question is can White take? The 2-pt game is much better than the 1-pt game but White has already made his own 3-pt so his position is disjointed. However, he has an anchor and all his checkers are still in play so he can squeeze out a relatively comfortable take. Put Red’s checker on his 10pt onto his 8-pt and then the position becomes a massive pass.
