Match Play. Double Match Point. How should Red play 52?
A straightforward pay-me-now pay-me later problem which I had against Gaz Owen in the European Champions Cup a month or so ago.
I am pleased to say I didn’t buckle under pressure and played the correct 9/7, 9/4. Gaz didn’t roll a two and it was all over bar the shouting.
6/1, 3/1 is a blunder. Not a complex problem but the pressure of the event made it just that little bit more difficult.
