Money Play. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?
I included this position because it is fascinating to see just how massive the error is in taking.
In a money game it is worse than a sextuple blunder to take because you give up 0.5 equity points. The combination of the broken prime and White’s inflexibility (how does he play 42 for example?) makes this s truly terrible take. The position actually occurred with Red trailing 0-4 to 13 when the take was even more horrendous.
I was Red and won gammon very easily. In fact, a third of Red’s wins are gammons.
