For money this is not yet a redouble. Red should hold on to the cube and hope to use it more effectively later.

You might think that 0-2 to 13 wouldn’t influence the decision. However, now Red should redouble and White should take. With the cube on 4 and with potential for it to get 8 or 16 the score has a significant influence. White will be slow to redouble to 8 because of the leverage it gives Red with that match-deciding 16-cube waiting in the wings.

Whenever a match cube gets to 4 and above things normally begin to get interesting!
