Money Play. 0-0 to 7. How should Red play 52?
The key to this position is to limit the number of Red blots to one.
23/16 follows the game plan of running for home when ahead but if one blot is hit the other becomes a liability.
The only move that is not a blunder is 23/18, 13/11. The 11-pt is very useful when Red has an open 5-pt. Meanwhile the rear blot starts its journey for home and Red can concentrate his efforts on that.
I think a lot of players would reflexively move 23/16 but that is a 1.5 blunder – perhaps a surprising result.
