Match Play. Red trails 0-3 to 11. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?

This is a prime vs. prime position and the old adage goes that all PvP positions are doubles and takes. This position is not an exception to that rule.

A very clear double and an equally clear take, despite the score. Dropping would be a blunder. White’s checker on his ace-point is a weakness but not enough to change the decision.

It is remarkable how often the old adage holds up under scrutiny.

Still trying to get my head around cube play but I'm assuming red should be a bit more aggressive here due to trailing in the match. Timing is with Red although only one dilly checker. White's Blitz potential likely to diminish soon and the double 5 escape doesn't play that well for White & unable to escape with double 6. White also has a blot on home board & distribution not great. I'm thinking Red should double now prior to throwing Double 6 or other market losers. Likely a borderline take but match score suggests White should drop even though ahead in the race?
