Match Play. 0-0 to 5. Should Red redouble? If redoubled, should White take?

For money this would be a grossly premature redouble as Red has a lot of work to do.

However, once again the score has a huge influence on the cube action. With the cube on 4, White will not get full value on his gammons and he will also be very hesitant to redouble to 8 because of Red’s low take point (15%).

That turns a no double into a borderline double. White has a trivial take, of course, but I have seen positions like this dropped so you must give your opponent a chance to make a blunder. Redouble!
